Originally established as "Azienda Agricola Mario Stival", the "Moletto" winery has now for three generations, handed down the knowledge and experience acquired during long years of patient and meticulous attention to the location of the vineyards, the selection of the vines as well as the whole wine-making process right up to the final bottling. This heritage of values is essential in reinforcing the already established ability to make wine in the oenological field, according to the commonly accepted traditional methods. Yet today this priceless heritage cannot disregard the present technological improvements and innovations, which ensure the achievement of the most important long term objectives in a sector like ours, where selectivity has become the rule rather than the exception. In 1985, as a result of our professional and technical abilities, the "Moletto" winery was the first to be awarded the recognition of the "indicazione geografica" for those prized wines produced in the area specified as "Moletto" in a Ministerial Decree that sanctioned this exclusive privilege to the "Moletto" wines.
The image of a family winery, in the most literal sense of the term, is inexorably linked to the charisma and personalities of those working in it, and in the reciprocal respect of individual views and the successful combination of their professionalism. At the side of the founder, Commendatore Mario Stival, the true historic soul of "Moletto", are his sons, both oenologists. Mauro is responsible for the administration of the business as well as customer relations both in Italy and abroad. Giovanni can be described without doubt as "l'instancabile creativo", the "indefaticable creative one" in the art of winemaking. The presence of the family members ensures a direct and friendly relationship with customers, open in interpersonal relations and professional in the overall technical and managerial aspects of running the "Moletto" winery.
